Community Grants and Scholarships

In recent years the Junior League of Tacoma has provided college scholarships and community grants of varying amounts.

JLT has offered graduating high school seniors scholarships to be used for college. Recipients must demonstrate a proven record of volunteering in the community and must be a model student.

Community grants have gone towards launching programs for other non-profit organizations in the community.

JLT congratulates the 2005-2006 Community Grant Recipients:
Reading Readiness, Building Phonemic Awareness - $500
Point Defiance Zoological Society: Zoo Tot's Critter Club - $500
Intervarsity Christian Fellowship: Tacoma Urban Project - $500
