Adopt a School Literacy Program

Working together on a single, intensive project of growth and change.

In our Adopt A School partner program, the Junior League of Tacoma partners with at risk elementary schools in the greater Tacoma area in an effort to help them improve learning conditions at their school.

Each year schools can apply to be the recipient "partner school" for the following league year.

Program Details

One third of our Done In A Day projects are focused on the partner school. A minimum of one visiting author in the Family Lecture Series will visit the partner school. One of the JLT Community Grants will go to a focused need in the partner school to improve the learning environment.
