The Ruth Wheeler Award

An Award To Those Who Continue To Serve

Established in 1988 in honor of Ruth Wheeler, a Charter Member and the second President of The Junior League of Tacoma, this award recognizes the valuable contributions that our Sustainers continue to make in our community and the excellent examples they set for us.

The award is given to a Sustainer who has demonstrated, through current efforts, the spirit of volunteerism, the value of specialized training, the effectiveness of advocacy and the qualities of organization, responsibility, community concern and caring for others.
