Volunteer of the Year
Amber is consistently recognized by her JLT colleagues as an outstanding leader and asset to JLT and to the Tacoma community. As Director of the Communications Council, she brings new ideas for improving communications within the League by collaborating across councils and externally by enhancing JLT’s presence on social media. This includes the “member spotlights,” which highlight and celebrate the contributions of active and new members. She brings her professional communications skills to help our League better inform our members and our community. Within months of her arriving in Tacoma she had secured television appearances for JLT enhancing the brand in our community. In addition to her communications contributions, she volunteered and participated in nearly every JLT event, bringing her warmth and enthusiasm to other actives and new members. She steps up to help others when needed, and inspires and encourages others to be their best selves.
She initially joined the Junior League in Nashville, and the Junior League of Tacoma is grateful that she and her husband Evan have decided to call Tacoma home. She is taking on the challenge of Assistant Executive Vice President position this coming year. We celebrate her as Volunteer of the Year for her exceptional servant leadership, her competence, commitment, and kindness.
